FORT ATKINSON, WI— HOPPE North America, Inc. is has introduced a new grade of handle sets in their HBL line for Entry and Interior Door Hardware.  An upgraded line of handle sets in the HBL product line are now UL Listed / ANSI Rated. 

The upgraded UL Listed / ANSI Rated HBL handle line conforms to the standards set forth by ANSI, a private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the voluntary standardization to develop and maintain performance standards for builders’ hardware.

Within this standardization are different product grades which are defined by levels of performance which determine the quality and durability of locksets through a series of operational and security tests.  The ANSI Rated Grading System identifies three levels of performance with regard to residential security.  Grade 3 is for a basic level of performance; Grade 2 is intermediate: and the very highest level of performance in residential security is an ANSI rating of Grade 1.

The HBL product line has a series of handle sets which are rated ANSI Grade 2 for operation and ANSI Grade 1 for security.  The HBL deadbolt is rated ANSI Grade 1 for security, which is the highest level of rated security.

An upgraded portion of the HBL product line is also UL Listed – 90 Minute Rated.  This includes the HBL passage sets (F75 function), entry lock set (F95 function) and entry lock set/grip handle (F102 function).
